Blue Bell Ice Cream Fans Get Their Chance To Share A Personal Story Through New "Do Tell!" Online Contest

Winner will receive a VIP trip to Blue Bell's headquarters for a behind-the-scenes tour

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Are you convinced no one could possibly love Blue Bell Ice Cream more than you? Or, do you have a fun and unique personal story about Blue Bell? Then by all means, Do Tell!

Do you secretly follow Blue Bell trucks down the highway hoping a few cartons might tumble out the back door? Do you hide your half gallon in the freezer behind the frozen peas so the kids won’t find it?

Fans are invited to visit bluebell.com August 1-31, and in 500 words or less, tell their very own Blue Bell story. The contest is open to all Country Club members and entries must be submitted online. If you are not a member you can simply join at www.bluebell.com.

Eight finalists will be chosen by contest officials and their stories will be posted on bluebell.com  beginning Sept. 20. Country Club members will then have two weeks to vote for their favorite stories. The entry receiving the most online votes will be named the grand prize winner and will be announced on Oct. 9.

The grand prize winner will receive a VIP trip to Brenham, Texas to see how the “best ice cream in the country” is made. Each of the eight finalists will be treated to a prize packet including various Blue Bell gift items and the best part of all - one half gallon of Blue Bell Ice Cream every week for one year!

“We enjoy hearing from our fans and reading the many letters we receive each year,” said Carl Breed, director of marketing for Blue Bell. “Our Do Tell! contest is one more way for our fans to share their stories. We’re looking for unique, fun and heartfelt stories about Blue Bell.”

Blue Bell Ice Cream is the third bestselling branded ice cream in the country although it is only available in 22 states, including Kansas and Missouri. In 2007, Blue Bell celebrated its 100th anniversary at its headquarters in Brenham, Texas, a town of about 12,000 people located 70 miles northwest of Houston.
